Tumor, Kanker Ofatumumab


Description
Ofatumumab belong to a group of drugs called monoclonal antibodies. It works by stopping the growth of cancer cells. Ofatumumba used to treat patients with a type of white blood cell cancer called chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Drug injection form can only be obtained by prescription. These drugs can cause side effects such as chest pain, skin rash, difficulty breathing, dizziness, fainting, irregular heartbeat, fever, chills, abdominal pain / back or rash / itchy skin. But this condition can be prevented by the administration of drugs such as acetaminophen and antihistamines (such as diphenhydramine) or corticosteroids (such as methylprednisolone).

Indication
Treating patients one type of white blood cell cancer called chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) who have ever been treated with other chemotherapy drugs (such as alemtuzumab and fludarabine) but it does not work.

Dose
8 The first dose is given once a week and 4 the last dose or subsequent doses given every provision doctor once in four weeks. Ofatumumab only be supplied (injected) by a trained doctor or nurse.
